Title: Master of Arts in Mass Communication

Duration:

Partial completion of the MA course can lead to the award of the Postgraduate Certificate or the Postgraduate Diploma in Mass Communications. These 'exit routes' from the course may be attractive to those with limited time for studying at a distance and who are content with first or second level postgraduate qualifications or who wish to postpone the completion of their Master's degree. Both the Postgraduate Certificate and Postgraduate Diploma can be 'upgraded' to a higher qualification with further study.

Entry requirements:

Applicants should normally possess at least a good second class undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline. Applicants who do not possess a good first degree or an equivalent qualification but have at least three years of relevant professional experience will also be considered. Such applicants may be invited to submit an entry assignment in answer to one of a set of essay questions as evidence in support of their application.

Exceptionally, applicants with limited academic qualifications but with suitable management or professional experience can be admitted (sometimes via initial registration for the Postgraduate Certificate).
